Weekend Update

We had a great weekend full of fun things.  First (not quite high up on the "fun" list actually), Phin got his second DOC Band (helmet).

We then spent many hours painting the helmet.  It is not finished yet, but here is the almost finished product.  It is an old fashioned aviator's helmet.  I'll post more detailed shots and some of him wearing it when it's finished.

 Daddy put together some new shelves for all of Phin's toys and books so we could be a bit more organized.  He's having fun exploring it already.

 And finally he pulled himself up for the first time this weekend!  I ran and took this picture as quick as I could to document.  He got very good at pulling himself up on one of us sitting down by the end of the weekend.

 

Happy Birthday Uncle Joey!

Happy Birthday Uncle Joey!  It is probably already probably the next day in Afghanistan, but Phineas wanted to wish you a happy birthday and tell you how much he loves you!  We miss you so much and are very excited to see you soon.  Phineas found all of the camo he could so that he could match you!

10 Months!

Today Phineas turned 10 months old!  Time has gone by so fast and we can't believe he is getting so big.  We went to the park and did a little photo shoot there.  Since I ended up taking 79 pictures, I'm going to have to go through them and choose the best.  Here is a taste...and watch in the next few days for a whole lot more cuteness!  Happy 10 month birthday Phin!

We've had some beautiful weather the past few days.  Today Phin and I went to a little park near our house to enjoy the sun.  This is him mid-swing...

 

Apple Picking

Yesterday we went apple picking!  It was a beautiful fall day and a perfect day for visiting an orchard.  That evening we went over to hang out with some friends and make our annual first day of fall apple pie.  We decided to freeze our pie so pictures will come later when we eat it.

Phin enjoyed chewing on some apples at the orchard.

At first all he wanted to do was play with the leaves.

He really wanted to bite the apples, but he couldn't figure out how to sink his teeth into them.

Apples proved a little tricky to hold on to.
