Jack-o-lantern

One tradition we love doing every year is carving a pumpkin.  We try and pick something that has gone on in our lives that past year.  
This year we chose to celebrate our new van and the addition of our new little gourd to the family.  You can see Phineas was quite the helper.
 

 

Pumpkin Farm

Yesterday we took our annual trip to the pumpkin farm.  I can't say everyone was cooperative for pictures, but we had a good time.  Phin's favorite part was the car ride.  Check out this video!

Out of a whole bunch of pictures and the help of two strangers, this is the only picture where at least both kids are looking at the same thing.

Again, not really an "on" day for pictures.  At least somebody is smiling.

This was from the day the Cubs played their first game to get into the playoff series. (I took the picture before school so everyone was pretty chill.)

Beautiful Fall: Part 2

Here are some more pictures from our Sunday at the park.  Please excuse the poor lighting.  We were there right before dinner so the sun was pretty low in the sky.

The following picture cracks me up because before we could stop anything, Jonas tried to eat that leaf that just ended up poking him in the face and Phin did in fact bop him on the head with that stick.  The hazards of being a little brother...
 

Beautiful Fall: Part 1

Last Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous fall day.  We decided to go for a walk in a forest preserve/lake close to our house.  We, along with every other family there, was having a field day taking pictures of our kids.  Phin has a great time playing on the playground, picking up sticks, walking around the lake, and playing in the leaves.  Jonas seemed fine to be along for the ride.  Next year buddy...  This will be a two part post due to the number of pictures.

 

7 months

Last week Jonas celebrated his 7 month birthday.  We are a back-logged in respect to pictures, but here they are!  He is getting to be such a big boy.  He loves pushing up with his hands, getting up on all fours and rocking, moving backwards, playing with stacking rings, eating at least 12 ounces of solid food a day, sitting up without falling over, and still taking short naps.  He got his two front, bottom teeth this month and I think is ready for more solid food.  He is also now wearing 12 month clothes and and likes staying at the upper end of the statistics.
