Four Month Birthday

While Monday was technically his 4 month birthday, we took some 4 month pictures and a video today.  I have been putting away his old newborn and preemie clothes and just cannot believe that he was ever that tiny or that he has gotten so big.  Happy 4 month birthday buddy!

 

Mac and Cheese

Phineas and his moose Mortimer helped Mommy make jalapeno macarroni and cheese tonight for dinner.  He was very talkative but a little more shy when the camera came out.

 

Palm Sunday

 John 12:12-13 "The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him. They began to shout, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel!”"

Also Basil thought Phin waving around a palm branch was really him trying to play with the cat.

"Hey what are you doing here.  This palm is mine!"

 

Kisses

Spring Break!

I think Phineas is as happy as Mommy is that it is finally spring break!!  (If only it wasn't still appropriate for him to be wearing fleece snowman pj's at the end of March.  Where is spring??)

Dinosaur Overalls

I think dinosaurs are cute.  I think overalls are cute.  I think babies are cute.  Babies in dinosaur overalls = very cute.

 

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Phin would like to wish Grandpa a very happy birthday!  He wishes he could be celebrating with you.  Since we seem to be stuck in some kind of perpetual winter, he looks forward to learning how to actually enjoy it and learning how to ski.  Maybe Grandpa's got a few pointers you can show him.  :)  Happy Birthday!  We love and miss you!

 

Busy Bees

We apologize for the recent lack of posts.  With spring break in a week, the end of the quarter this week (that means lots of paperwork for Mommy), and lots of other little things happening each day, it seems like a race to the weekend.  Phineas provides us with lots of smiles to keep us going strong.

 

Stripes

Phineas and his rabbit stuffed animal have matching stripes today!  Here he is also looking at a favorite book, Tails.  This is his favorite page (we think because of the bold colored pandas).

 

Cat Crowns

Today one of my 4 year olds came in with "cat crowns" that she had made at home.  She instructed me that one was for me and the other was for baby Phineas.  (I realized that I must call him that since all of my kids do as well.)  I promised her I would take a picture, so here they are.  Matt decided to join in the fun as well. 

New Seat

We recently rediscovered that we had a "baby papasan chair" that once belonged to some pretty amazing cousins.  Over the past few nights it has become Phin's favorite place to sit next to us while we are trying to eat dinner.  He is especially likes the mirror on the other side of the leaf and seems entranced by the baby that he sees. :)

 

Happy Birthday Papa!

Phineas would like to wish Papa a very happy birthday!  He loves and misses you.  In this picture he's even got his very own Challenger to remember you by!

 

Sweet Pea

Today we decided to have a Sunday photo shoot.  Phineas donned his sweet pea outfit given to him by Grammy at his baby shower.  It finally fits!  First are my two favorites.  He was particularly smiley for Sophie the Giraffe (if you haven't heard of her, look her up.  This glorified dog toy is super popular right now and Phineas certainly loves her and chewing on her legs, so he can see why.)

This little green hat that came with the outfit was the same one that we took to the hospital in hopes that he could wear it home.  Looks like it fits a little better now!

Heads up!

Sorry for the lack of posts the past few days.  This week has sure flown by!  Phin is doing a great job working on his neck strength.  We practiced this morning with lots of tummy time!  What a strong little guy!

 

Snow Day!

Today Mommy had a snow day!  The snow was not as bad during the day as predicted, but it was certainly nice to have a day off.  Here are some pictures of Phin and the snow.

 

Reading with a Friend

Phineas had a great day with lots of smiles and "talking", at least more than normal.  Could it be the almost 7 straight hours of sleep he got last night??  :)  Here he was having a fun time reading to Basil this afternoon. (While it was a great story, Basil might actually be sitting close by because he is covetous of the white blanket.)
