Happy Birthday Aunt Corrie!

Phineas would like to wish his Aunt Corrie a very happy birthday!  He misses you so much and can't wait to see you in February!

 

Happy Birthday Kitties!

We celebrated our furry children's 4th birthdays this week.  They got some special treats and a new laser pointer!  We also tried to celebrate with party hats, but it turns out cats don't really appreciate getting dressed up.

Phin was excited to celebrate with the kitties.  He seemed to be the only one that enjoyed the party hats.

 

He tried to get Cyril to join in.

 But Cyril just kept running away.

Reading with Daddy

Phineas has really been drawn to his Thomas the Tank Engine books today.  He had fun reading them with Daddy and with a kitty.

 

 

New Decor

For Christmas, Phin got some new decor for his room.  He wanted to show off all his new bedding from his Great-Nana (minus the new sheet, he's using his old winter flannel ones since it is so chilly) and his new wall art made by Mommy.  We wanted something that was out of his reach and couldn't hurt him if it happened to fall down somehow. 

 

Peek-a-Boo!

Phineas enjoys playing peek-a-boo.  Today he was having a lot of fun lifting a blanket over his face to play.  He is still pretty under the weather and isn't quite his normal self.  Normally I think he'd be smiling or laughing more when he put the blanket down, but he was still having a good time.  Here's a cute video and some pictures of it.

Sick Little Baby

After a record-breakingly cold start to the new year, I think the weather has finally gotten back to normal.  We had a few days off from school to extend our winter break.  Now that I'm back, I can finally bring home my little camera.  Phin isn't exactly ready to have his picture taken.  With a bad cold, he's feeling extremely under the weather.  However, he can still...

stand at the table to play with whatever his little fingers can reach, 

check out this new camera that Mom has brought home,

walk pushing his shopping cart (which he actually really enjoys no matter how un-thrilled he looks in this picture),

and chew on things (he especially likes these bells right now) while kneeling/sitting like his mom used to when she was a baby.

 

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  We hope you have a wonderful 2014!  We started our morning out with 7+ inches of snow and it just keeps coming!  We took Phin out in the snow for the first time.  He was not a huge fan of the many layers of clothes, but he did show us some smiles when riding in his sled in front of our house.  We will have to play more outside when it is not constantly snowing.  Here is a video of Daddy pulling Phin in the sled down our street that at one point this morning had been plowed.  (Unfortunately, the quality of videos and pictures is going to be poor since the big camera's broken and all we have are our phones to take them with.)

(although that could also be because he's got on enough layers he looked like the Randy from The Christmas Story.  Notice how his arms are stuck out to the sides.  I kept trying to push them in the sled, but with all the clothes, they wouldn't stay.)

The roads were so snowy we took a short walk around the neighborhood afterwards.
