Sunday Best and Smiles

Phineas got all dressed up today for church and was quite a happy little guy.  Here's a video of him being happy and talkative this evening and some happy pictures.  Check out his cute little gray hat that he wore to church.  

Birthday Fun!

This has been a weekend of birthdays so far.  On Friday we celebrated my birthday.  Phin was kind enough to take an evening nap so that we could enjoy a yummy dinner out with a quiet baby.  We also enjoyed some delicious chocolate cake, but Phin's favorite part was the candles.  Today he went to a his first real birthday party for another little friend.  He has no idea about all the tasty cake that he missed out on! :)

Mobile in Action

As we mentioned before, Phineas loves his mobile.  Here I took a video of him "talking" and smiling just a little bit at the mobile.  Normally he might do a bit more, but this was taken in the late afternoon.  We have hung a few other toys on the mobile as he really seems to enjoy them.  This video is a little long, but isn't that what new parents are supposed to do?  Take extremely long videos of their babies doing nothing at all? :)  You can also watch him doing one of his favorite activites...kicking!

Rolling Around

Today Phineas rolled from his tummy to his back!  He was able to roll to both sides when starting from his tummy.  We're not quite yet at the point of rolling over from his back, but this was a great start.   We haven't been able to reduplicate the results of this morning, but we hope soon to see it again and to get a video of it.  Here are some action packed stills.  Go Phin!  Go!

 

Loving the Snow

We spent our Saturday morning enjoying the beautiful snow outside.  Phin was having such a good time!  Look at all these happy faces!

Getting bigger

Phineas is getting so much bigger  (at least to us).  :)  He is now wearing almost all 0-3 month clothes (still a few newborns).  Here he is trying on something new (thanks to his mom's coworkers).  It's still a little big but gives him lots of room to kick!  It's also fleece to help him stay warm as the windchill hovered around 0 today and last night was predicted to have been between 15 and 30 below.  And it was only 65 degrees a few days ago.  Hooray for Chicago weather!
