Phin's hair has been getting long so we finally decided to cave in and get it cut. Grammy treated him to a hair cut. We were both very sad to loose his iconic swoop on the back of his head, but it looks nice now that it is cleaned up.
He got to sit in a blue race car.
He was a good boy and held pretty still while she trimmed his hair.
He got to watch an Elmo video which really sucked him in.
By the end he was pretty good but really wanted to look around the salon.
We ended our Memorial Day weekend with a cookout and bonfire. Phineas found a new favorite game. It has been passed down through generations of German relatives. We have been on a mission since we got home to discover the exact German words that are said and what they mean. Either way it makes for some fun tickles.
We also enjoyed a bonfire and the perfect weather.
So I know you are all probably like, "Who cares about a picture of fire?" However...look very closely at the embers. Can you find a dragon? :) Also, I just think fires look so cool.
After an extremely busy past couple of weeks, we are finally taking a breather and enjoying the long weekend. Here are a few pictures from our past two weeks.
What is Phin's favorite feature of his little car? The trunk in the front. It is a great place to keep little ducks when you need something to chew on!
Phin now enjoys stacking his cups as well as other objects. One new favorite has been stacking pieces of food on top of his cup during dinner. He is always very proud of himself. While he doesn't clap, he does get excited. Here are two short clips of him getting very excited about his stacking.
While we've hardly had weather that feels like spring, today was over 80 degrees and felt like summer. Phineas (and the kitties) enjoyed the open windows. Even though he has a fever, Phin seemed to welcome the warm weather and the breezes. We took full advantage going to the park, taking a walk, and even spending time after dinner hanging out in the yard. Hooray for warmer weather (and cute babies in onesies)!
Phin is learning how to ride his new Lightning McQueen car. He hasn't quite figured out how to push himself yet, but he enjoys when you push him around. We played with his car outside today and it was quite windy. Look at how long his hair is getting! (Also, most of these pictures are quite bright, I think I used the wrong camera settings. Sorry!)
