Birthday Party

Two weekends ago we celebrated Jonas's first birthday.  We had some good friends and their kids come out to celebrate with us.  Here are some pictures from the party.

Birthday Videos

Here are two videos from Jonas's birthday party.  The first one is us singing "Happy Birthday" and the second shows Jonas enjoying his cake.  I am sad that both seem to be out of focus although I did capture the moment.

More pictures and videos will follow, however, I thought I'd put up something short tonight. Jonas had a wonderful first birthday today and a great time celebrating with friends.  He had fun with the balloons and LOVED the cake.  He grabbed it with both hands and shoveled it in.  He is such a sweet, happy boy and we feel so lucky to be able to have him as a part of our family.  Happy Birthday little guy!

 

Warm Weather

We are enjoying the warm weather, as I think most people are.  While things are busy in the preparation for Jonas's first birthday later this week, we have been able to get out and go for walks and go to the playground.  

Phin has learned how to go up the big kid playground equipment and go down the big slide all by himself (a first).

Another day hanging out by the pool in our neighborhood, just waiting for it to open.  This one is a smile looking into the wonderful sunshine.

Phin knows the letter P and what sound it makes!

Phin has been learning a lot of letters at school but especially P for his name.  Today I asked him to find P on the keyboard and he was able to locate it out of all the letters! Then he floored us again by making the P sound when we were talking about the letter.  What a smart little cookie!

 

Family Visit and a First Haircut

A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to have some family come and visit us.  The boys had a great time with their Grammy, aunt, uncle, and cousins.  While they were here, Jonas finally got the haircut that was a long time in coming.
