10 years of beaches

In honor of our 10 year anniversary, we spent the day at the beach!  10 years before we enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Hilton Head, South Carolina.  This brought back fun memories of the ocean (only this was a whole lot colder and rockier).  The kids were scared of the waves (and it was freezing) but they had a lot of fun in the sand. (Notice the picture where Matt is in the water.  There were a number of other people at the beach but look at how many you see swimming.)

My Three Sons

We are so excited to have little Lucas be a part of our family.  In order to catch up on everything that has happened in the past month, I'll probably post backwards to his birth.  Here's a few recent pictures of all three boys.  They really seem to be enjoying their new little brother.

 

New Park!

Our community has a large number of great parks.  Yesterday we decided to go explore a new area.  The boys loved the new park and all the equipment that was just their size!  Also, apparently Jonas has learned to swing on the bar before going down the slide.

 

Fighting the Shark

One of the most fun activities for the boys with their new pool is to fight the shark.  Jonas is good with the sword and Phin makes a great audience.  

 

Shedd Aquarium

Last weekend the boys had a great time visiting the Shedd Aquarium in downtown Chicago.  We got to see lots of animals like whales, dolphins, and penguins.  Phin even got to touch a sting ray!  Jonas's favorite thing to see was the sharks.

 

New Sobriety Test

Besides being able to sing all of his ABC's, Jonas has developed a new sobriety test.  Can you sing the whole alphabet while continually spinning in a circle the whole time?  Jonas can.

 

Hose Fun

Last weekend we got to at least 90 degrees outside and the boys had a lot of fun playing with the hose.
