It's Been Busy

Sorry for the lack of posts in February.  Mostly we've been doing this...

But now that the Olympics are over and we've gotten to see a lot of family, hopefully you'll be hearing a lot more from us in March.  Here's a fun, random picture.  If Cyril would only come closer...

 

A Visit from Grandpa and Nana

This past weekend Phineas had so much fun with a visit from Grandpa and Nana.  Here are a few highlights:

Jumping on Beds

We found something that makes Phineas laugh the hardest he ever has - his cousins jumping on hotel beds.  Here are two clips of a very funny night.  He had such a good time with them and already is missing them a ton.

 

Children's Museum

We are enjoying having family in town and Phin is enjoying time with his aunt, cousins, and Grammy.  Today we had fun at a children's museum.  Phin had a great time crawling around, pulling up on things, and exploring.  Not being able to walk (and being a tiny guy) put him at a little bit of a disadvantage but they were great at having special areas for kids under 18 months spread out around the museum.  One of his favorite things was being able to push the shopping cart around the grocery store (although he was small enough he had to push the opposite end of the cart).

 

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Birthday Uncle Lee!

Phin would like to wish his Uncle Lee a very happy birthday! He hopes that you are enjoying all of the snow and wishes he could go sledding with you (we're not quite at the point of skiing). :)  We miss you and wish we could celebrate with you!

 

Cold Tongue

Phineas has always enjoyed our front window.  Recently, while looking out at the snow, he likes licking the cold window.  Here are some pictures from both inside and outside.

 

Mommy's Birthday

This weekend we celebrated my birthday.  Though things didn't go exactly as planned, we had a nice time together and got to enjoy some very chocolatey cake.  I used a recipe called "Too Much Chocolate Cake" and topped it off with dark chocolate icing.  Yummy!  Phineas also got his first taste of chocolate.  Looks like he's going to be a chocolate lover!  

 

Reading

One of Phin's favorite activities is to read his books.  Here he is reading a book he really likes called Global Babies.

Shopping Cart

Today Phineas had a great time pushing his shopping cart all around.  While he pushed it much further earlier, here's a clip from tonight of him pushing it a little ways all by himself.

A New Lion Friend

Phin loves lion toys.  His new favorite is this big lion that you can push and it roars and plays a little song.  It is always sure to make him smile!

Dental Health Month

In honor of February being national Dental Health Month, baby and Daddy remind you to brush your teeth!

 

Smiles and Sled Riding

Phineas had a great day today and especially enjoyed sled riding.  He smiled each time he went down the hill and also seemed to really enjoy being pulled up.  Here's a video of one of his first runs down in front of our house.  Once we got the snow packed down he went a little further.  I apologize for my voice being so obnoxiously loud in the video.  You might want to turn down your volume.
