Game Day!

These pictures are coming a day late, but Phin was all ready for the big Ohio State game yesterday.  He even put on his buckeyes.  Go Bucks!

 

Happy 2nd Birthday Phineas!!

We want to wish a happiest 2nd birthday to our sweet little boy! Every smile and laugh melts our hearts. We feel so very blessed and lucky to be your parents, Phineas. We could never have even dreamed how much you would steal our hearts. We love you more than words can say!  Time goes way to fast.  Happy birthday big boy!

It's a...

Phin is excited to announce he's going to be having a little brother in March.  That's right, it's a boy!  We're thrilled because we don't know what we would do if we had a girl. We're already drowning in boys' clothes! (Drowning though in the most blessed and amazing way!) :)

Bath time

Phin loves bath time.  He especially loves splashing.  This video is a bit long but shows some of the fun he has.  His splashing is usually so vigorous I have to put a  towel over me not to get soaked.

Grandpa's Visit

Last weekend Grandpa was able to come visit us before he had a convention in Chicago.  Phineas had a great time playing with Grandpa and eating his favorite food, pizza.  Here is a very cute video of them playing music together, as well as some pictures.

Get Well Soon Grammy!

Halloween

Despite it being a very, very chilly and windy Halloween, we enjoyed dressing up in our Star Wars themed costumes.  Matt was Darth Vader, I was Princess Leia from when she is on Endor, and Phin was an Ewok.

While we waited for the very few trick-or-treaters that braved the weather, Phineas got to see Star Wars for the first time.

 

Trucks, Trunks, and Treats

This weekend our city put on an event called "Trucks, Trunks, and Treats".  We got to dress up, see all kinds of cool trucks that are in our community, and get a few treats along the way.  Our costumes aren't fully complete yet...so you'll just have to wait for closer to Halloween. We are going with a Star Wars theme this year. :)

Walk For Hearing

This past Sunday we attended the Chicago Walk for Hearing that helps raise awareness and money for hearing loss.  It was an incredibly beautiful day and the walk took us along the lake with a gorgeous view of downtown.

Phin's favorite part of the day was Mellie, the mascot of one of the cochlear implant companies.  He thought she was very funny and he didn't want to take his eyes off her.  Look at that smile!

We even tried to take a picture with Elsa from Frozen, but as you can see, Phin could have cared less and is pointing at his elephant. 

Apple Picking

This past weekend we went on our annual trip to the apple orchard to pick apples for our apple pies.  The weather was beautiful, so naturally there were a thousand people there.  We did a few good pictures.

Phin really liked watching people using the fruit pickers.  He thought it was very funny.
